ISSA developed a keen interest in dance music as a child in the passenger seat of his older sister’s ride while commuting to school. His Palestinian culture–and being born and raised in SF–have shaped his unique sound, which draws inspiration from classic 90s house music, Arabic & Latin music, hip-hop, and pop.
